Sunday Surf - Happy Mother's Day...now watch this...

I was invited to dinner at one of my best friend's house by her mother. I had called to wish her a Happy Mother's Day since she's kind of a surrogate mother as my own mother is WAY down in Texas (and yes, I called my mother, too). Anyway, after dinner we watched a rather disturbing movie called Zeitgeist - the movie. If you haven't seen this...and I tend to think most people haven't...you might want to watch this. It will make you rethink your complacency about the role of religion (Judeo/Christian in particular), banks (and I work part time in finance), and war (WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and the current wars) in our lives and how these are used to oppress people. Then, if you really think about it, it might make you rethink the male of the species (they seem to the the common denominator)...or not.

Sadly religion is usually used as a tool of control. Control that men dictate the rules of. I'm a lapsed Christian, though I do go to church with MK on occasion because it means something to her.
I will check out the movie. Thanks for the heads up! Oh, and where are the wine recommendations?

Trop...yeah, or something equally mind numbing.

Jennifer...I go occasionally to a Science of the Mind based "church". That's as much as I can stand. As for the wine reviews. I've been so preoccupied with work related bs, that I've stuck to wines I've already reviewed. But I have a new one on the way.

If only women ruled he world.

We did back in some Native American culture and things, so I hear, were fab! Peaceful and good, the way they're meant to be.

Might makes right, I guess?

ahhh, there's a typo in itself or a freudian slip

"he" world. lol

Meant to say "the" world but I think that gets the point across even better.
